A Volkswagen driven by Duane Holmes of Nora Springs ended up stuck on a utility guy wire Saturday morning on Sixth Street Southeast in Mason City after an accident involving a tan Chevrolet Caprice. Holmes said he was southbound on Pennsylvania Avenue and the Caprice was eastbound on Fifth Street. There did not appear to be any serious injuries. Photos by Joe Buttweiler.
