BUTLER COUNTY — Feldmeier Equipment Inc. plans to construct a new manufacturing facility in Butler County, bringing a $20.8 million capital investment tied to advanced production work and future growth.
The company manufactures ASME Code-stamped pressure vessels used in several major industries, including pharmaceutical, food, dairy, beverage and cosmetics.
The planned 70,000-square-foot manufacturing facility will expand Feldmeier’s production capacity by more than 20,000 square feet. The project also includes investment in advanced fabrication and assembly equipment.
The Iowa Economic Development Authority Board awarded the company $688,670 in tax credits through the state’s Business Incentives for Growth program.
The expansion is significant for Butler County and northern Iowa because manufacturing jobs connected to specialized equipment production can provide strong employment opportunities in a region where good-paying jobs are needed.
State officials said the BIG program is designed to help companies expand, invest and create high-quality jobs in Iowa.
Feldmeier’s project is expected to support increased productivity and position the company for future growth.
