Lois Jane Watermiller, 80, of Clear Lake, IA passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake. A funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 16, 2025 at Open Bible Church.

Lois Jane Watermiller, 80, of Clear Lake, IA passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake, IA.

Memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 16, 2025 at Open Bible Church, 509 S 17th St, Clear Lake, IA 50428, with Reverend Adam Henaman officiating. Burial will take place at Meservey Cemetery. Visitation will take place an hour prior to the funeral service.

Lois was born on February 14, 1945 to Nealo and Nancy (Kamp) Watermiller in Belmond, IA. Lois grew up on her family’s farm between Thornton and Meservey, IA. She graduated from Thornton High School and dedicated her life to hard work and faith.

Lois spent many years working as a housekeeper and later as a janitor for CLTEL. She was a simple, humble woman whose commitment to her work and her faith never wavered. A lifelong member of the Open Bible Church, Lois found her greatest joy and purpose in her relationship with the Lord.

Together, Lois and her sister Carol were known as the “Prayer Warrior Sisters”. Faith and Prayer were the cornerstones of Lois’s life.

Lois shared her love, care and compassion generously with all who knew her. Her quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on her family, friends, and community.

Those left to cherish Lois’s memory are her nieces Roxanne (Troy) Roberts and Nancie (Ryan) Clark; great nieces and nephews Victor Cobra, Sicily Roberts, Austin (Sidney) Roberts, Josiah Clark, Jenna Clark, Jadyn Clark, and Justin Clark and great great nephew Syus Roberts.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents Nealo and Nancy Watermiller; sister Carol (Donald) Deike as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
