MASON CITY – Two Mason City residents were arrested and charged with crimes after a traffic stop this week.
A Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on October 1st at about 4:00 AM at 9th Street NW and Monroe Avenue. Drake Andrew Shimon, 21, was a passenger in the vehicle, driven by Krystal Sanders, age 19. Shimon was wanted on an outstanding warrant on third degree burglary. A charge of possession of marijuana was also added by the officer. Sanders was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended.
Shimon is still being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
