Born on June 19, 1983, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, Brock’s early years were steeped in the values of community and service from his father and mother that would define his life.
A proud graduate of Janesville High School, Brock went on to pursue his passion for public service at Hawkeye Community College, where he earned a degree in Police Science. His commitment to helping others was evident through his work in Emergency Medical Services and as a courageous firefighter in New Hampton. Brock’s dedication to safety and responsible citizenship was further exemplified by his lifetime membership in the National Rifle Association and his active involvement in the Cedar Falls Gun Club.
On October 5, 2024, Brock married his beloved Marea Baker at the Old West Paint Church in Waterville, after a loving courtship of five years. Their union was a beautiful testament to love, blending their families in a home filled with joy, laughter, and wonderful memories.
Brock’s zest for life shone through his numerous interests and hobbies. Known as a jack of all trades—with the humorous exception of dancing—Brock’s love for the great outdoors was unparalleled. Just like his father, he was “a true cowboy” at heart, often found hunting and fishing, which were not just pastimes but a way of life. His adventurous soul was never more alive than when hunting with Addison and Evelyn, leading can-am rides with the kids or spending tranquil moments at the family cabin.
Above all, Brock was an amazing father. His big, blended family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment he spent nurturing and guiding them. His love was a guiding light, a source of strength and comfort that will continue to shine in the hearts of his children.
Described by those who knew him best as loving, adventurous, and passionate, Brock’s legacy is one of unwavering commitment to his family, his friends, and his community. His infectious smile, hearty laugh, and the tales of his escapades will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
Brock’s life was a vivid tapestry woven with the love of his family, the loyalty of his friends, and the respect of his colleagues. As we say farewell to this remarkable man, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by genuine kindness and a courageous spirit.
