MASON CITY – On Saturday, October 29, the City of Mason City Recreation Department, the North Iowa Youth Center and 11 other teams held the first ever Halloween Spooktacular Carnival at Southbridge Mall. During the event 400 youth had the experience of a number of games, crafts, and inflatables. The children transformed themselves into mini- football players, green lanterns, zombies, witches, a number of Sally’s (from Toy Story) while performing our costume contest with the overall prize going to a little gnome.
