Mason City woman in jail after not-so-gracious fight at mobile home park

MASON CITY – Shortly after noon on Friday, Mason City police responded to a report of a fight at lot 81 in the Gracious Estates Mobile Home Park located at 777 South Eisenhower Avenue.

After an investigation, police arrested and transported 26-year-old Natalie Ann Morel of Mason City to the Cerro Gordo County Jail.  Morel has been charged with one simple misdemeanor count of 727.5 Obstruction of Emergency Communications.

Early Saturday morning Morel remained in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond requirement pending an initial appearance.

Is this really big news? If someone wants to see everyone who is picked up, they can go to NIM. It seems silly to put things like this up.

When someone breaks the law, yes, it is news.

Hmmm. I wonder what this charge means. Did she try to stop someone from calling 911?
