Robert “Bob” J. Lowe the son of John and Mable (Pettiecord) Lowe, was born September 14, 1941, in rural Emmetsburg, Iowa. He passed away on February 26, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society, at the age of 83.
Bob lived in Estherville most of his life. He married Sharon Ellis on August 24, 1962. The couple was married for 62 years. Bob worked for the City of Estherville for 40 years. In his free time, he enjoyed being an auctioneer on the weekends for 25 years. Bob was a member of the United Methodist church and served on various committees, including the fair board, for several years.
Bob’s days were filled with supporting his grandchildren, attending the Emmet County Fair, dance recitals, dirt bike racing and taking his grandchildren fishing at Ingham Lake.
In his final years, Bob fought health problems, but he never wavered. Every day he woke up with a smile on his face and a pleasant word for those around him.
Bob is survived by his wife Sharon; children, Susan (Doug) Evans, Roger (Amy) Lowe and Lisa Lowe; 5 grandchildren, Paige (Shane) Smith, Kayla (Thomas) Olson, Katie (Matt) Harris, Krista (Jake) Masters and Tyler Lowe; four great grandchildren, Crew and Indie Smith, Brooks Masters and Karra Olson; and his brother, Ron Lowe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mable (Pettiecord) Lowe, In-Laws, Melvin and Mary Ellis, and his sister-in-law, Marlene Lowe.
