Sonia Heidi Sanchez, the daughter of Domingo Sanchez and Jannie Baker, was born on July 24, 1976, at the Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa. She died on December 23, 2024, at her home in Spencer, Iowa at the age of 48 years.
Sonia graduated from high school in 1994 before attending college.
In her free time, she enjoyed music, specifically Duran Duran, and ABBA, crafts and the Pink Panther. She was a very levelheaded, assertive, and amazing mother.
Sonia is survived by her daughter Iday Roberts; son Jaydn Roberts; mother, Jannie (Richard) Baker; and her siblings, Eric Clark, Adrian Sanchez, Patricia Sanchez, John Sanchez, Veronica House; as well as her best friends, Kristina Pueppke and Misty Slawson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Domingo Sanchez, her grandparents, Fred and Florence Clark and Lorenso and Santo Cerda Sanchez, and aunts and uncles, Raymond Clark, Pat Kruse, Linda Moore, Margaret Wilkins, and Deanna Helmick.
