OBIT: Rex A Anderson

Rex Allen Anderson, was born in Estherville, Iowa on May 4, 1952 to Rex M. and Mary (Clymer) Anderson. He passed away on November 19, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society in Estherville, at the age of 72.

Rex Allen Anderson, was born in Estherville, Iowa on May 4, 1952 to Rex M. and Mary (Clymer) Anderson. He passed away on November 19, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society in Estherville, at the age of 72.

Rex graduated from Lincoln Central High School. Following graduation Rex worked for John Morrell Meat Packing in Estherville. He lived for a time in California and worked at the LAX Airport. Upon returning to Iowa, Rex was a truck driver for Holiday Express and farmed.

Rex enjoyed collectable cars and was a member of the Black Knights Car Club. He was a movie and history buff. He also enjoyed listening to music, especially music by Bob Dylan. His greatest joy in life was his spending time with his family. He enjoyed teasing and having a good time with them.

Rex is survived by his daughters Emily Anderson of Estherville, Heather (Michael) Schacherer of Estherville, and Samantha (Mason) Bergquist of Milford; his stepdaughter Michelle (Jayson) Gilbertson of Prior Lake, Minnesota; and 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia Kruse of Texas, Susie (Mike) Jensen of Estherville, and Diana Reiter of Estherville; as well as, many beloved nieces and nephews.

Rex is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Joe Reiter.
