Leowen Ulrich, 92, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.
Leowen Victor Ulrich was born on July 3, 1932 to Emil and Dorothy (Whipple) Ulrich. He graduated from the Iowa Falls High School. On July 16, 1949, Leowen was united in marriage to Grace Ites. They farmed in Iowa Falls for over 50 years before retiring to town.
Leowen is survived by his daughter Susan (Lynn) Ulrich Schermer of Little Rock, AR, grandchildren Daniel (Michelle) Ulrich of Graytown, OH, Lisa (Mike) Foth of Hot Springs, AR, Diane (Mark) Broadbent of Hampton, IA, great-grandchildren Sky Ulrich, Chelsey Koester, Kaylee (Mike) Vranish, Amanda (Kenny) Grosjean, Kevin (Megan) Foth, Zachary Hackney, Britney Hackney, Jacob Jungck and Andy Jungck Broadbent 14 great-great-grandchildren and sisters Karen and Kathy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Grace, son Eugene Victor Ulrich, great-grandson Kodie Ulrich Baker and sisters AnnaMae and Carol and brothers Walter and David.
