ORANGE CITY – A Northern Iowa sex offender failed to report to authorities, leading cops to search him out and make an arrest.

On Wednesday, May 8 at 6:03 PM, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Alan Kooiker (pictured at top), age 38, of Orange City, IA. The arrest stemmed from Kooiker failing to appear to the sheriff’s office or contacting the Sex Offender Registry compliance deputy for his annual verification, as required as part of the terms of being a registered sex offender.

Kooiker was transported to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with Sex Offender Registry Verification Violation. He was convicted of two crimes back in 2010, for dissemination or exhibition of obscene material, to a female teen victim.
