CEDAR RAPIDS – One suspect has been arrested for murder after this weekend’s deadly Iowa nightclub shooting, and the victims have been identified.
Police said Monday that the two deceased individuals from the Taboo Nightclub shooting in Cedar Rapids have been identified as Michael Valentine, 25, and Nicole Owens, 35, both of Cedar Rapids.
As a result of the Taboo Nightclub shooting investigation, Timothy Ladell Rush, 32, was arrested for:
*Murder – 2nd Degree
*Willful Injury – Causing Serious Injury
*Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon
*Reckless Use of a Firearm – Causing Serious Injury
*Possession of a Firearm as a Felon.
Rush was transported to the Linn County Jail.
Cedar Rapids Police investigated a shooting at Taboo Nightclub and Lounge, 415 Third Street SE that occurred at 1:27a.m. on Sunday, April, 10, 2022. Two individuals are confirmed dead and approximately ten more are injured and receiving medical attention at multiple local hospitals.
This is an on-going investigation, police said.
