CLARINDA – Kenneth Louis Howell Jr. was pronounced dead, likely due to complications related to COVID-19 and other preexisting medical conditions, at 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Clarinda Regional Health Center. Howell Jr. was 59 years old at the time of his death. An autopsy will be completed by the State Medical Examiner.
Howell Jr. had been serving a 35-year maximum sentence for the crimes of Prohibited Acts — Manufacture, Delivery, Possession from Lee County. His sentence began on October 16, 2018.
