Thomas Allen Clabaugh, the son of Roy Sr. and Dorothy (Roehler) Clabaugh, was born on March 2, 1952, in Estherville, Iowa. He passed away on January 5, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 69 years.
Tom graduated from Estherville High School in 1970 before marrying Marcia Fisher on January 27, 1973.
Tom started his career at Texaco Gas station, he then owned and operated Tom’s Gas Station. In 1988, he went to work for Don’s Tires until 1995. Tom retired from Polaris and worked for Rosenboom until his second retirement in 2020.
In his free time, Tom enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, reading Westerns, riding motorcycle, going on fishing trips, and going to the VFW for breakfast every Saturday morning.
Tom is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marcia Clabaugh; his sons, Jamie (Yvette) Clabaugh and Brian (Shanna) Clabaugh; four grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan, Noah, and Levi; his siblings, Dorothy Behne, Bonnie (John) Baloun and Skip (Diana) Clabaugh; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Sr. and Dorothy (Roehler) Clabaugh, his brothers-in-law, Nathan, LeRoy, Dale and Arvin and sisters-in-law, Gloria and Lorriane.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Emmet County Animal Shelter.
