CLARKSVILLE – A traffic stop at a Clarksville gas station turned into a drug bust as two North Iowa men were sent to jail.
On November 4, 2020 at 9:38 PM, the Clarksville Police initiated a routine traffic stop on two vehicles simultaneously in the Casey’s parking lot. After a very brief investigation police learned the driver of the first vehicle, 24-year-old Robert Frazer of Charles City had driving privileges that are barred in the state of Iowa for being a habitual offender. Frazer also had a valid warrant out of Floyd County for possession of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine. Frazer was transported to Floyd County jail where he is being held on $25,000 bond. The driver of the second vehicle. 23-year-old Jordan Kellogg of Ionia, Iowa was taken into custody for no driver license and investigated for the operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of dangerous drugs. Kellogg was also in possession of a glass pipe that contained a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Kellogg is being held in the jail in Allison and waiting to see magistrate.
Clarksville Police were assisted by the Butler County Sherriff’s Office. The entire incident remains under investigation and more charges and arrests are anticipated.
Police also report that during the ongoing investigation, it was determined that Kellogg attempted to conceal a baggie of methamphetamine and a glass pipe from officers while at the Police Station. The evidence was recovered and Kellogg is charged with Tampering with evidence – Aggravated Misdemeanor.
