MASON CITY – A Mason City man has been arrested after police investigated the alleged sexual assault of a child.
The Mason City Police Department has made an arrest in connection with an investigation of the sexual assault of a child. The initial report was made to the department in November 2019.
As a result of the investigation, Peyton Lee Vandyke, age 18 of Mason City, was charged with Sexual Abuse in the 2nd degree; a class B felony. Vandyke was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail earlier this afternoon.
This is iowa. He will be given special protection status in jail and if you where to do anything to him outside of jail the charges are increased vs assaulting a real human being. See how iowa protects child molesters? In jail/prison they protect them and outside they protect them by enhancing your charges of you do the honorable and the right thing when you find one of these people. We need real government in iowa. One that understands justice. It shouldn’t be the priority of police to investigate or charge anyone with the brutal beating or slaying of anyone who molested children. We should be able to set them on fire in the streets. Inn any case I hope this kid gets his throat slit after being violently sodomized for days by the nastiest nig in jail.

A person should be prosecuted and sentenced accordingly for violating the law, in this case, including mandatory counseling for a period after his prison time. There is no question there.
But your approval of violence on people goes beyond what our laws allow.
As a civilized society, violence is not a course we should take.

He should have the same amount of “choice” as the under 5 years old child did. So, I guess he wants to be sodomized and beaten. We know his must have.
Not being as enlightened as you, and obviously not as smart. I know that when people know tat there is no real punishment, there are those that will act like animals. Punishments MUST fit the crime. So, no lethal injection for J walking. By the same token, raping/sexually assaulting a child should be a horrific one.
The odds of Peyton becoming a productive member of society are slim and none. With a sexual assault of a juvenile on his record, being on the predator list, odds of him getting a job, no.
Give him the counseling. Are you going to be responsible for his actions when he gets out/off of probation? Didn’t think so.
