IOWA CITY – The Iowa women’s basketball team defeated Nebraska, 76-60, in a Big Ten Conference home game last night.
The Hawkeyes have won 33 consecutive home games, ranking second in the country behind Baylor (52).
Four Hawkeyes scored in double figures, including sophomore Monika Czinano (23), senior Kathleen Doyle (15), Amanda Ollinger (11), and junior Alexis Sevillian (11).
Senior Amanda Ollinger recorded her third career double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, and senior Kathleen Doyle recorded her seventh career double-double — third this season – with 15 points and 15 assists.
Doyle’s 15 assists breaks Iowa’s single-game record previously set by Sam Logic (14) against Dayton on Dec. 15, 2013.
Senior Makenzie Meyer recorded a career-high 8 rebounds.
