MASON CITY – Mason City High School team was named as the regional large school champion at this year’s regional Academic Decathlon competition held in Grundy Center, Iowa on January 24, 2018. The Mason City High School team has qualified for the State competition and is seeded 6th out of 12 based on regional results across the state. The State competition is March 2-3, 2018, at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Advisor for the team is Mason City High School Instructor Eric Butikofer.
