MASON CITY – Another Sherwood is joining the NIACC softball program.
Martensdale-St. Marys’ senior Kylie Sherwood recently signed a national letter of intent to play softball at NIACC starting in the fall of 2018.
Sherwood will join her sister Kaci, who is a freshman on this year’s NIACC squad.
Kaci and Kylie were both Class 1A first-team all-state selections in the summer of 2017.
As a junior, Kylie hit .477 with 11 doubles, six home runs and 48 RBIs.
As a pitcher in the 2017 season, Kylie was 18-3 with a 1.36 earned run average. She collected 174 strikeouts with 29 walks in 139 innings pitched.
