CLEAR LAKE – A 4-year-old boy in Clear Lake was rushed to the hospital today after a riding mower backed over him.
The Clear Lake Fire Department was dispatched to the 600 Block of 10th Ave N at approximately 10:48 AM for a report of a juvenile male subject run over by a lawn mower. Clear Lake Fire Department responded with one ambulance with two medics and one rescue truck with three firefighters. Once on scene, it was determined that a 4-year-old male juvenile was backed over by a riding lawn mower. The child was transported to Mercy Medical Center North Iowa by Clear Lake Fired Department with non-life threatening injuries.
Clear Lake Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Clear Lake Police Department.
