Three Person Show Featuring at the NIACC Art Gallery

A public lecture on Wednesday, March 7 will be held from 2:30-4pm.

The North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) Art Gallery is currently showing the photography of Craig Kienast, the stain-glass artwork of John Larsen, and the ceramics of Kimberly Riner.

Craig Kienast has been a featured speaker at many national and regional photography conventions including Senior Photographers International (SPI) and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International  (WPPI).   He has been published in Rangefinder and Professional Photographer magazines. In 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2010 Kienast was recognized as “Professional Photographers of America’s” international photographer of the year.

John Larsen started his stain-glass business in 1976. Techniques he uses in his artwork includes the ability to bevel, fuse, and sandblast glass.  These techniques can be seen in numerous projects including windows for homes and church’s as well as restoration work. Larsen’s largest project has been the restoration of ninety-two windows for the Historic Park Inn in Mason City Iowa, which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1910.

Kimberly Riner was born in Berkley, California and raised in Clear Lake, Iowa.  Kim holds an Associate of Arts degree from North Iowa Area Community College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Georgia Southern University. She is currently enrolled in The Master of Fine Arts program at Georgia Southern University.  Recent exhibitions include: Art on The Creek Juried Exhibition, Johns Creek Arts Center, Johns Creek, GA;   The Grandeur Juried Artists International Exhibition, The Hampton Fine Art Gallery, Greensboro, GA; and the 7th Annual AAC National Show Exhibition, Atlanta Artists Center Gallery, Buckhead, GA.

Visit the NIACC Art Gallery and enjoy the creative artwork of three Northern Iowa artists. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The show will close on March 15.
