DAVENPORT – A man was shot dead in Davenport and police are seeking clues to solve this crime mystery.
On Friday, March 3, 2023, at approximately 12:45 AM, Davenport police responded to the area of Third and Ripley Streets in reference to a call of shots fired. One subject was transported by medic EMS to a local hospital. Police cautioned the public to stay clear of the area.
Days later, police reported that the victim, 34-year-old Dimitri L. Martin, died from injuries sustained during this incident.
Police continue to seek the community’s assistance in locating an involved vehicle (dark colored sedan, blue-tinted headlights) along with any associated individuals. The incident remains under full investigation by police.
