MASON CITY – A Northwood man was jailed this weekend for drunk driving in Mason City.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy stopped a vehicle at about 6:27 PM Sunday, February 27, near 4th Street SE and California Avenue. After an investigation, the deputy determined the driver was intoxicated. An open container of booze was also located. As a result, 56-year-old Larry Dean Klitzke of Northwood was arrested for first-offense operating while intoxicated, open container of alcohol, no registration, and no valid license.
Klitzke was taken to the county jail where he was booked and held briefly before being released to await a court date.
