RURAL MASON CITY – A Mason City man is facing his second drunk driving charge after an arrest this weekend.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy conducted a traffic stop Sunday morning, February 26 at about 12:53 Am near Mallard Avenue and 300th Street. After an investigation, the driver, Cody Alan Wendel, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to jail. He was soon released, pending a court date.
Wendel was arrested back in 2011 by police in Coralville, Iowa, for drunk driving. He later pled guilty and was given a jail sentence and fine.
