PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Iowa defeated Rutgers, 83-63, on Tuesday night.
Iowa (13-10, 5-5) got its first true road win of the season and evened ints Big Ten record. Iowa improved to 5-0 in the all-time series against Rutgers (12-11, 1-9).
Four Hawkeyes scored double figures: Jordan Bohannon (17), Cordell Pemsl (15), Isaiah Moss (11), and Tyler Cook (10).
Iowa improved to 7-0 this season when allowing 70 points or fewer.
Iowa assisted on 24 of its 30 field goals tonight (80%) and made 11 3-pointers (11-of-18, .611), its most since making 11 against Michigan in its Big Ten home opener on Jan. 1.
The Hawkeyes played their second straight game without its leading scorer Peter Jok (21.0 png) who has had a sore back.
Iowa returns to the hardwood on Sunday when the Hawkeyes entertain Nebraska. Tipoff is set for 1:06 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
