MASON CITY – A Mason City man caught in a round-up by the drug task force two years ago is sought by law enforcement for violating his probation in that case as well as new charges.
Dylan Joseph Lewis, age 21 of Mason City, charged with delivery of controlled substance with intent to deliver marijuana, back in 2013. He had been arrested along with at least 13 other people on August 1, 2013 during a North Iowa Drug Task Force operation. Lewis is now accused of violating his probation in that case, and the Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office announced Friday evening that Lewis is wanted on a warrant.
Also at this time, Lewis is accused by Mason City police of felony willful injury and third-offense possession of marijuana for a crime he allegedly committed back in November of 2015. Lewis had posted $12,000 bond back in December and was released from jail leading up to a court appearance on January 4 that he failed to appear for. Lewis may be avoiding capture due to probation revocation in the drug dealing case and these new charges.
Anyone with information on Lewis’ whereabouts should call local law enforcement.
Duh. He should never have been allowed bail in the first place if there was pro action revocation.
