Masked suspects shoot Iowa man and his two dogs
KEOKUK, IOWA – Mysterious masked intruders shot an Iowa man three times, as well as two of his dogs, police say, and are still on the loose.
According to police in Keokuk, Iowa, the incident took place at about 1:06 AM January 7. Officers responded to a call of gunshots in that community on Belknap Boulevard. There, they found 32-year-old Ian Keefe suffering from three gunshots, with two to the chest. His two dogs were also shot. Two masked suspects fled the scene in a passenger car.
Police are saying this incident might be related to a similar incident just minutes earlier in nearby Hamilton, Illinois.
At this time, police have brought in state investigators to help solve the crime.
