WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senater Ted Cruz, a Republican from Texas, on Wednesday introduced the State Refugee Security Act of 2015 at a press conference in the U.S. Capitol where he was joined by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. The State Refugee Security Act will amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to permit the governor of a state to reject the resettlement of a refugee in that state unless there is adequate assurance that the refugee does not present a security risk.

“This legislation will protect the authority of the states and the authority of the governors to keep their citizens safe. Some 30 governors across the country have stood together with Gov. Abbott – standing together as one saying their obligation is to protect the safety and security of the citizens of Texas and the citizens of each of the states that have elected those governors. Those officials are doing their jobs. I applaud them and Gov. Abbott for honoring their commitments to the men and women who elected them,” Sen. Cruz said. “It is my hope that Congress will take up and pass into law the legislation that I introduced today that gives the governors the ability to opt out if the federal government is not sufficiently vetting refugees.”

Specifically, Sen. Cruz’s legislation will require the federal government to notify a state at least 21 days before a refugee is resettled there. Also, it prohibits the resettlement of a refugee in a state if the governor certifies that the federal government has failed to provide adequate assurance that the refugee does not present a security risk to the state.

Researched Ted Cruz and it is clear he is the best qualified to lead this country. While there are other great candidates it is not surprising that he is leading in the Iowa polls.

I will vote for Cruz if he gets the nomination for President.

Ted Cruz isn’t an Idiot, he’s delusional and that’s far more dangerous.

For those who think like Cruz, there is virtually no amount of data, reality checks or facts that can persuade them to give up their false ideas.
Cruz may just represent one of the biggest liars in recent history. In fact, he may be a whole new form of political liar.
It is no surprise to any of us that politicians lie. We generally assume they stretch the truth to get elected, to denigrate their political foes, and to bolster their images.
But Cruz may just represent one of the biggest liars in recent history.

He doesn’t represent Obama or Hillary at all. Represent the biggest liars, I don’t think so.

That makes about as much sense as Ted Cruz does.
Which is nothing at all.

Ted Cruz. Born in Canada, American mother and Cuban Father. Your birth right claim is no better than Obama and you have no credibility on this subject since you are a closet illegal as well.

yet the court says he is eligible to run

Sounds good on paper Cryz – BUT we all know the only person to accomplish it will be TRUMP – the rest are BS and lies.

Anything to stop Obama from destroying our country is alright with me.

It has to start somewhere… let’s get it done.
