The Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health is pleased to announce another component to the “Bringing Wellness Home” campaign encouraging residents to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors. Daniel Wright and Rebecca Meyer, FitnessWrightNow and former contestants of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” will be hosting monthly Community Conversations. Residents may participate in the LIVE conversations via telephone or the web. Wright and Meyer will be speaking on a variety of health and wellness topics, but look forward to the interaction and questions from participants.
“The Health Department hopes this opportunity will provide yet another means for residents to identify tips and support for eating healthier, adding exercise and adopting healthy behaviors to help in the improvement of the county’s health,” says Kelli Huinker, Wellness Service Manager.
The first Community Conversation is Monday, April 30, 2012 from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Additional conversations will be held the last week of each month unless conflicting with holidays.
