ALBERT LEA, MINNESOTA – Planning to do some drinking north of the border? There is extra law enforcement on Minnesota roads now through the end of December, according to a nearby police department.
The Albert Lea Police Department (ALPD) said that Wednesday, November 25 began the impaired driving enhanced enforcement of the Albert Lea police department/Freeborn County sheriff’s office TZD (Towards Zero Deaths) program. The enhanced enforcement efforts run weekends through the end of December.
Those agencies arrested four drivers for DUI (Driving Under the Influence) in the ensuing 4 days, all from Minnesota.
The ALPD reminded that there are no excuses for driving impaired, and to arrange transportation at the begining of the night.
