WORTH COUNTY – Worth county is attempting to re-open a troublesome quarry, the conservation board says.

The Worth County Conservation Board said today that Kuennen’s Quarry will be reopening with limited days and hours starting this Friday with he following hours:

Friday June 25th from 8:00 A.M. through 1:00 P.M.

Saturday June 26th from 8:00 A.M. through 1:00 P.M.

Sunday June 27th from 8:00 A.M. through 1:00 P.M.

The board says it will be reevaluating Monday following the weekend and “hopefully start by adding days, once we are back to 7 days a week we will look at adding hours. If the gate is closed, the park is also closed. We ask that if you see any illegal activity to report it so we can continue to keep the park open. We appreciate your cooperation.”

Earlier this month, the quarry was closed after a near-drawing incident involving a Minnesota teen who was later arrested for public intoxication.

The only reason it was a shithole was the few shitheads that visited the park. PS – Fauk quarry ruined most of it by draining alot of the water out when they started their company and started digging. REMEMBER – WHO BENEFITED – . Falk would really like to se it shut down forever ?

Place has always been a shithole.

Thank you – we need this recreational area open for the good of people in this time of strife – Violators should be swiftley punished as not to infringe in our rights to freedom and relaxation – SO BE IT.

It’s not the quarry that’s troublesome, it’s the scofflaws that frequent it.
