MASON CITY – A Mason City woman who attempted to flee a traffic stop in Fort Dodge on foot was sent to jail for 5 days and fined.
Ashley Troge, age 21, was accused by Fort Dodge police on July 16 of fleeing an officer as he conducted a traffic stop. She, along with a male accomplice who were riding in a stolen car, ran from the scene on foot but were captured. She was charged with interference with official acts and pled guilty the next day.
Troge was given a 5 day jail sentence and ordered to pay $637.50 in fines and court costs. She must pay $397 within 30 days or face further punishment; records show she has made no payments to date.
Currently Troge resides in the Cerro Gordo county jail for failing to appear in court to answer for two of her several arrests for theft.
What a waste.
