FOREST CITY – A Forest City man was stopped while driving and arrested for operating while intoxicated for a second time this year.
Forest City police conducted a traffic stop on East L Street on August 1 at 11 PM of 26-year-old Zachary Scott Nelson, who was allegedly speeding and had no headlights on.
Nelson was arrested and charged with OWI – 2nd Offense, Failure to Use Headlamps and Excessive Speed.
Nelson was convicted of first offense operating while intoxicated in May of this year after an arrest by Winnebago county deputies. He already paid $1,881.50 in fines and court fees in that case.
