MASON CITY – If police can’t see you, they can’t arrest you. Or so the saying goes. A Mason City man found out this weekend that if you drive by the police station, an officer may see you, and he may arrest you.
Thirty-three-year old Brendan Herrick Otto was stopped by a Mason City police officer Saturday morning at about 2 AM for a traffic violation at the corner of Georgia Avenue and East State Street – directly in front of the MCPD headquarters. The officer determined the Mr. Otto was intoxicated, and placed him under arrest for first offense OWI.
He was taken to jail and later released, pending a court date.
