MASON CITY – A man who pled guilty to child endangerment last year in a case that involved a baby that inhaled pot smoke is back behind bars, accused of violating his probation for a second time.
A warrant was issued earlier this moth for 26-year-old Nathan Gabrielson of Clear Lake. He was finally located and arrested by Cerro Gordo deputies Thursday, June 18 and taken to jail. He is accused for a second time of violating his probation in a case where he pleaded guilty to child endangerment after his own child inhaled marijuana smoke. Authorities had alleged that Gabrielson’s son was left in an unsupervised area and ingested marijuana smoke in December of 2013. The substance later showed up in the boy’s system when authorities conducted a test on him.
Gabrielson has already been found guilty of violating his probation once. He is now being held on bond in the county jail, as he awaits a July 1 hearing.
