Sanitary sewer maintenance will be performed at three locations in Mason City.
On Monday, April 9 – the southbound lane of North Monroe Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets NW will be closed.
On Tuesday, April 10 – the center turning lanes at the intersection of 6th Street SW and South Monroe Avenue will be closed. Vehicles will not be able to make left turns at this intersection.
On Wednesday, April 11 – the center lanes of 19th Street SW 100’ east of South Jefferson Avenue and 100’ west of South Madison Avenue will be closed.
Each of the above locations will be closed for a period of 1 day.
Beginning Monday, April 9, West State Street between Linden Drive and Taylor Avenue will be closed to through traffic for both the eastbound and westbound lanes for approximately 3 weeks.
Beginning Monday, April 9, Highway 65 at the 7th Street NW intersection will be open to one lane traffic in each of the northbound and southbound lanes. This sanitary and water main replacement will last approximately 3 weeks.
Beginning Monday, April 9, North Pennsylvania Avenue between 11th and 13th Streets NE will be reduced to one lane traffic for approximately 3 weeks. The alley between 11th and 13th Streets NE located west of North Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed to through traffic for this duration.
Expect congestion and delays around these areas while the streets are closed. Please watch for construction workers and equipment if you are traveling near the work zone. Avoid traveling in this area and plan an alternate route during this time.
