MASON CITY – A fundraiser was held this weekend in Mason City to held fight Autism.
The first annual Special Kids Special Love Autism Awareness Walk was held Saturday, April 11 in downtown Mason City at Southbridge Mall.
Several dozen people attended the special fundraiser. Folks met in the mall and walked for a brief time, starting at Sensory World. Kids were given treats by participating businesses as they walked through the mall. Walkers ended up outside on the north plaza for snacks, prizes and a butterfly release to symbolize all the children affected with Autism.
