Anything news is newsworthy.
To Everybody who is bitching about what is considered “newsworthy!”
(If you find my language offensive, then perhaps you should stay away from FM radio and basic cable television, plus you should avoid the internet and also stray from the beach because women are showing their legs.)
It is my understanding that North Iowa Today is an alternative news source. Does anyone know what that means? Would you rather NIT have an agenda, be biased and put a spin on each story like big media does?
It seems to me that NIT reports the facts. Good or bad. No Spin. No agenda. No Bias.
No matter how big the story is or how unimportant it is, it gets published on NIT.
Anything that happens and may have any interest to anyone is news. Further more, any topic on which you read that is new information to you is NEWS. Wow, see how that works…new information is news. A suicide in North Iowa is news.

Do you want someone to decide FOR YOU on what you should be informed about? I know I would rather choose for myself. If I see a title I don’t care for…guess what?? I don’t read it. Wow, what a simple concept!!
I could give a crap about 90% of the stories from any media source. Especially in Iowa. I could give a crap about farmers, the weather, sports…the list goes on. What doesn’t go on, however, is Me bitching about what is or isn’t newsworthy. It is not up to ME to decide what YOU get to read. Get it??
Do you people want the stories here to be washed and polished and put into a nice shiny package so we can all sleep well at night? Or do you want the truth. Do you want to know what is really going on in North Iowa? Because before the days of NIT I don’t think anyone really had a clue. I know I didn’t. I wish NIT was around before I decided to move to Mason City.
Everyone seemed to think that life was good and the North End was safe. But look how that has changed all because of a little news website putting our trash out where everyone can see (read) it.
One mans trash, is another mans treasure.
Every story on here is relevant and worthwhile to someone. NIT cannot please everyone with bright colors and happy smiles. You will not like every story, you will not agree with every story. But you should be thankful that you get to choose. NIT has given you the freedom to decide for yourself what you get to read about. So put on your big boy pants like a grownup and deal with it.
Of course, maybe some of you still need someone to hold your hand and tuck you in at night..If that is the case DON’T READ IT!
This is North Iowa Today, they publish the news and we should be grateful for that.
