St. Ansgar barred driver arrested by MCPD

MASON CITY – A man with numerous barred driving convictions was caught by Mason City police and taken to jail.

A Mason City police officer stopped a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Elvis Saltsman Jr. of St. Ansgar on January 18 at about 10:31 PM near Carolina Avenue and 8th Street NE. After an investigation, the officer discovered that Salesman is a barred driver. Saltsman also had no insurance and no registration.

Saltsman was arrested and jailed on those three charges and soon released, pending a court date.
