CHARLES CITY – A Marble Rock man who threatened to shoot police in November has plead not guilty.
Court records show that on December 12th, 32-year-old John Edwin Marzen plead not guilty to felony D going armed with intent, first degree harassment, carrying weapons and public intoxication after a November 25, 2013 incident where he allegedly made threatening phone calls in Franklin county to emergency 911 dispatchers and threatened to shoot a police officer near Marble Rock. He was later arrested by Floyd county deputies.
Marzen posted $11,000 cash bond and was released on December 12th. He awaits a February 20, 2014 trial in Floyd County District Court.
