Two alleged druggies brought down by task force

MASON CITY – A Mason City residence was raided by cops today and two alleged drug dealers were arrested.

On November 6 at about 2:18 PM, North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force Officers along with a narcotics officer from Cerro Gordo County who were assisting United States Probation stopped a vehicle for traffic violations and arrested Martinez Tommie-Jacquel Perry, Age 20, of Mason City. Perry was charged with possession of marijuana second offense (serious misdemeanor), possession of methamphetamine second offense (aggravated misdemeanor) and driving under suspension (simple misdemeanor).

During a continuing investigation at 811 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Antione Deandre Maxwell, age 26 of Mason City was arrested and a search warrant was executed at that residence. Maxwell was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver (Class C Felony), possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, failure to affix tax stamp (Class D felony), possession of a firearm by a federal felon, aggravated assault on a peace officer (Serious Misdemeanor), interference with official acts (simple misdemeanor) and a US Marshall Hold for federal charges. Maxwell is on supervised release on prior federal charges. The North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force was assisted by the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Mason City Police Department and The United States Probation Office. Case is still under investigation.
