St. Ansgar man found drunk near MC elementary school

MASON CITY – A staggering man led to a phone call to police which led to an arrest this week.

Mason City police told NIT that a caller reported a possible intoxicated male staggering northbound from the bridge in the 300 block of North Pierce Avenue in the vicinity of Hoover School on September 23 at about 1:10 PM. Officers arrived and found Raymond Joseph Quinones, age 42 of St. Ansgar apparently intoxicated.

He was arrested on a charge of public intoxication and transported to jail.

Quinones is awaiting a plea hearing on November 5 on a charge of aggravated misdemeanor third or subsequent offense public intoxication. That arrest and charge was also made by Mason City police, back in May. He already pled guilty to the same offense in October of 2013.
