CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man arrested on numerous charges of sexual abuse of a child has pled not guilty and awaits a hearing.
Jeff Devries, age 50, has been charged by Floyd county prosecutors with five counts of sexual abuse in the second degree and five counts of indecent contact with a child. The crimes allegedly took place beginning in June of 2013, with the latest incident as late as August 1, 2014.
Devries was arrested on August 7, booked, and released from jail under the supervision of the Iowa Department of Corrections. He pled not guilty on August 22 is now awaiting an October 6, 2014 court hearing.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
