GARNER – A Thompson man has received a deferred judgement in a drunk driving case.
Dustin Kiel, age 19 of Thompson, received a deferred judgment for first offense operating while intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor. The charge stemmed from a traffic stop by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office on May 4, 2014.
Kiel was sentenced to serve one year on probation to the Department of Correctional Services and pay a civil penalty $1,250.00, plus court costs and attorney fees.
