MASON CITY – At about 3:00 pm Wednesday, Mason City emergency responders and Plymouth Fire and Rescue were called to 305th and Thrush Avenue for a two vehicle accident with possible injury.

It was reported that a 72 year old male, driving a white Prius, was transported to Mercy Medical Hospital in Mason City by ambulance. He was wearing his seatbelt. The two males in the 4×4 truck seemed uninjured but no information was given on their condition.

The report said that when the vehicles collided, there were no rollovers but they went into a spin, with both ending partially on the road.

Cerro Gordo Sheriff officers were at the scene assisting and Affordable Towing was called to take the vehicles.
