Four charged in robbery of Mason City home Thursday

This house located at 110 12th Street SE was allegedly robbed by four people from Mason City Thursday morning.

MASON CITY – Mason City police and Cerro Gordo County sheriffs responded to a robbery in progress Thursday morning at about 9:20 AM at 110 12th Street SE.

A resident reported three subjects in the residence.  One was armed with a sawed-off shotgun.

As police arrived, the suspects fled on foot.  Officers searched the area and found one of the suspects in a vehicle driven by a female.  The other two suspects were located near the downtown area.

After further instigation, a sawed-off shotgun was found in a garage in the 1200 block of South Georgia Avenue and a laptop computer stolen from the residence was found on one of the suspects.  The suspects were acquainted with the victims.

Arrested and charged with 1st degree robbery and 1st degree burglary were:

Jason John Jones, 27, of 226 14th Street NW
Justin Richard Stauffer, 25, of 309 1st Street NE Apt. # 2
Joshua Albert Rutledge, 27, of 425 2nd Street NE
Victoria Ann Carrott, 22, of 728 N. Delaware Ave.

All four subjects are innocent until proven guilty. All four were in the Cerro Gordo County Jail Thursday afternoon held on $25,000 bond.
