MASON CITY – Police were called to a popular nightclub this weekend to break up a fight and two men were arrested.
Clear Lake police and Cerro Gordo deputies responded to a report of what was described as a “large fight” at District 619, located at 619 Buddy Holly Place in Clear Lake. After police arrived and sorted out the situation, it was determined that several subjects were injured and sent to a hospital. Two men were arrested at the scene: 38-year-old Richard Ross Lee and 23-year-old Wayne Martell Davis. Their charges were not disclosed.
Richard Ross Lee has faced drug and alcohol violations for years from numerous counties in Iowa. He has been accused of several felonies, including felony third or subsequent offense domestic assault, but always taken plea deals to lesser crimes. According to social media, he claims to work at Fullerton Funeral Home in Mason City.
Davis was convicted of theft in Winnebago county this year.
