MASON CITY – When you got a hankerin’ for some fresh-sliced bacon, what could top haulin’ the house hog out to the front yard and butcherin’ the little feller?

Apparently, that was the thought process of the people who live at 414 East State Street, smack-dab in the heart of the Cultural Crescent.

They didn’t get the job done, though, ‘fore someone snitched on ’em, as police took a report from a concerned citizen who said there was an unattended, butchered animal carcass in the front yard of this house.

“A tenant was apparently in the process of butchering a hog over several hours,” police told NIT.  “Tenant cleaned up the mess.”

No charges were filed.

  1. We cook a pig da ground, put da beer on ice, all my rowdy friends are coming over tonight!

Do ya wanna drank? Do ya wanna partay? This is ol’ Hank, let’s get da party star-ar-ated.

  2. That is disgusting!!! Maybe they can get the guys from Duck Dynasty, Honey Boo-Boo, Catching Big Foot, Hee Haw, and Moonshiners, to come for a pig roast….Also bring the potted meat, billy bob teeth, camoflage, and pickled pigs feet…. uh um good…

    1. If moonshine will be offered, I know the drunk red-haired man from the 500 block of East State will stumble down for a shot or two.

  3. As distasteful as this is I don’t think it is against the law. If they shot the hog in town it would be. I know people who used to kill and clean chickens all the time but they had enough class to do it where people couldn’t see it. People eat meat and that is how they get it.

    1. down here its not illegal to shoot a gun within city limits. Or should I say they dont do anything if someone gets murdered while doing it.

      1. I’m not sure that getting murdered in Mason City is a crime any more either, but firing a gun is if you get caught. We hear gunfire all the time in the summer.

  4. Welcome to Mason City, where “the wrong side of the tracks” is two houses down.

There are no ‘good neighborhoods’ in this cesspool of a city, scum and filth and degeneracy are all around.

  5. Actually I’m all for this. If people saw it first hand, we’d have more vegetarians. I hope more people start this practice in town.

  6. Didn’t that fat buzzard of a mayor you have say he don’t speak hillbilly? Seems like his neighbors do! That house is just a block from his.
