MASON CITY – Authorities reported a two car accident Thursday at about noon had injured two North Iowa women.
According to the the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at about 12:14 PM today to a report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Highway 65 and the Avenue of the Saints. A vehicle driven by Lisa Flack, age 37 of Hampton, was traveling southbound on Highway 65 when a second vehicle driven by Whitney Miller age 23 of Clear Lake, was stopped at the eastbound off-ramp off the Avenue and then entered the roadway, where it was struck by Flack’s vehicle.
Both drivers were transported to the North Iowa Mercy Medical Center by Mason City ambulance.
Miller was cited for failing to yield upon entering a through highway.
